How do you say goodbye to a member of your family? It's a daunting question, and certainly has no easy answer. Pixie was a member of this family for over 17 years. To say she was loved, had lived, and would never be replaced would be an understatement. As her pain and discomfort from old age, cancer, and arthritis became too much to bear, her mom asked me to come and document her favorite places and things. She enjoyed her favorite treat meal of pancakes, trotted around her home, and spent some time at the neighborhood park. It was an honor to be able to memorialize Pixie in photographs for her family.
